Admete (Αδμητη) is an Okeanid whose name means "the unbroken" or "unwedded". She may have been the Naias Nymphe of a wild mountain stream, or the Nephele of wild clouds and rain. Admete was perhaps a goddess of unwedded maidens, her sister Zeuxo, representing the yoke of marriage.
