Aktaea (Danaid) and the other Danaids killing their husbands on their wedding night
Aktaia was one of the fifty Danaids (Daughters of Danaus) who took part in the mass marriage to the sons of Aigyptos. Aktaia married Periphas (whose mother was Gorgo). That night she along with forty-eight of her forty-nine sisters slew their husbands.
Punishment
