Cynurus was the son of Perseus and Andromeda and thus brother of Perses, Alcaeus, Sthenelus, Electryon, Mestor, Heleus, Gorgophone and Autochthe. Cynurus was the eponymous founder of Cynuria, populated by Argive emigrants.
