Ermanthian Boar.jpg

The Erymanthian Boar (or Hus Erymanthios) was a huge wild boar that attacked the farmlands of Psophis.

One of the Labours of Heracles was to capture the beast. He chased the boar through the snow of Mount Erymanthos, but he finally captured it and brought it back to Eurystheus. When Eurystheus saw the boar, he was so frightened that he hid in a buried pithos jar.

Unknown, but possibly related to the Kalydonian Boar.
