Talk: Kraken

The kraken is a legendary cephalopod-like, or other times crustacean-like, sea monster of giant size that is said to dwell off the coasts of Norway and Greenland. It's origins and reverence hail from Germanic Indo-European folklore (Scandinavian - Iceland and Norway in particular. Branched out to include Baltic and Nordic) and at no point does it, or any of its legends, intersect with Greeco-Roman mythology at ll! Any and all associations with Greeco-Roman myth were exclusively created by the Clash/Rise of Titans Hollywood movies, and their hazardous influence on pop culture.
